Below are answers to some of the questions our customers regularly ask.
When you say “remanufactured” what do you mean?
A SOTA remanufactured Kubota is a Japanese Kubota tractor that has been manufactured in Japan, like all Kubotas. After it has finished its working life in Japan, the tractor is stripped down to the castings and rebuilt to a fixed specification, with many new parts and components.
Are spare parts available for SOTA Tractors and implements?
Yes. We only sell tractors and implements for which spare parts are available. We have parts manuals for all our tractors and access to parts from a broad range of spare parts providers.
Is a loader with 4-in-1 bucket available for all SOTA Kubotas?
Yes. We can provide a 4-in-1 loader for all SOTA Kubotas. We usually carry these in stock. Most of our customers ask for a 4-in-1 loader as part of their package. We can also supply to order, a complete 4-in-1 loader kit for many imported Japanese tractors, including Kubota, Yanmar, Mitsubishi, Iseki, Hinomoto and Satoh, that will bolt straight on.
Can I use a full range of implements and attachments?
SOTA Kubotas come with standard Category 1, three-point linkage. A full range of implements can be used including slashers and mowers, post hole diggers, cultivators, blades, harrows and rippers. We can also supply a SOTA self contained backhoe for those heavy-duty digging tasks.
I don’t want to dig up my lawn. Are turf tyres available?
Yes. We can provide turf tyres for your SOTA Kubota and other Japanese imported tractors.
Is a SOTA Kubota suitable for my needs?
This is an important question. First of all, many people are surprised by the power and versatility of Kubota compact tractors. They are renowned the world over as strong and reliable workhorses. Having said this, a 16 HP, light compact Kubota (our smallest tractor) is NOT suitable for broadacre farming! In general, our compact Kubotas are suitable for small acreages and on large acreages, they tend to be used as versatile, utility tractors.
We estimate that over 90% of our tractors are purchased by hobby or lifestyle farmers, with small acreage blocks and farms anywhere from 2 – 100 acres. The majority of our customers have 2 – 50 acre properties. On larger acreages (over 20 acres), the compact L-Series Kubotas are most popular, however once again, it depends on the application.
For smaller block owners or where space is constrained, such as narrow garden rows or when used in close proximity to buildings, the light compact B-Series Kubotas are often preferred.
I am new to tractors. Can you advise me?
Our staff are experienced tractor users and have farming backgrounds. We will happily advise you about an appropriate tractor and implement package, should you require it. If a SOTA package is not suitable, we will tell you so and suggest appropriate alternatives.
