Our AGMAX post hole diggers for sale utilise a heavy, 50hp gearbox, making them suitable for most soils. All augers have replaceable teeth and pilot guides, which are readily available from all SOTA Tractors’ branches.
Medium-Duty Hydraulic Post Hole Diggers
If the majority of your PHD work will be on hard ground, or if you intend to use it regularly, we recommend the AGMAX medium-duty post hole digger, which provides increased downforce, via a dedicated hydraulic cylinder.
*Please note that the AGMAX medium-duty post-hole digger requires a tractor of at least 35hp, which is equipped with hydraulic remotes.

Augers
The AGMAX AU150 (6”) auger is ideal for making pilot holes for bigger augers in tough ground or holes for treated pine fence posts. Having uniformly sized posts matched to your auger reduces the amount of backfilling and ramming.
For most fencing applications, use the AGMAX AU230 (9”) auger. It’s also handy for tree planting, but make sure to break up the hole with your bar afterwards. Surfaces glazed from post-hole boring can be impervious to establishing roots.
Suitable for larger jobs, the AGMAX AU300 (12”) auger is useful for digging stay posts or stumping a shed. Using a 25hp tractor and above is recommended.
The AGMAX AU450 (18″) auger is used to dig holes for larger retaining walls and for planting established trees with a sizeable root ball.
