The importer of the Canadian-built Wallenstein agroforesty equipment to Australia is launching the Wallenstein FX skidding winch at Farm World this year. The winch is a tractor-mounted implement and will be displayed by SOTA Tractors on its stand. SOTA Tractors said that property owners could easily reach timber that needed to be cut or had fallen, even on steep hills, without the need for large, heavy equipment.
EMB Manufacturing has designed the FX skidding winch as a tractor attachment for gathering firewood, clearing dead tress and harvesting premium timber. The design was to make the workload easier on the tractor by transferring the pulling strain onto the ground with a large blade that anchors the winch.
The Wallenstein FX skidding winch comes in three sizes to suit different tractor owners and requirements. The largest of the three, the FX120 skidding winch, will be on display in Australia for the first time. It has a pulling power of 5450kg and a cable length of 500 metres.
SOTA Tractors, which imports tractors, will also have other Wallenstein equipment such as chippers and log splitters on display.
